A Dangerous SecretThe Bureau of Magical Things ...
Harry Potter has returned to the Dursleys for the summer holiday in mid-1992, and things are very bad for him. Over the summer, the Dursleys have become so fearful of Harry's new-found magical abilities that they have locked away all of Harry's magical supplies (e.g. his wand, his broomstick, spellbooks, etc.) immediately after his arrival home. They have also banned Harry from saying words such as "magic" in the house, as is evident in Uncle Vernon's outburst about Harry saying "say the magic word" (meaning "please"). Harry begins to worry about what his teachers at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will think if he heads back to them without back homework done, and whether or not he'll be banned from the Gryffindor House Quidditch team since he has not been able to practise. The Dursleys have, however, let him keep his pet snowy owl Hedwig, but have put a padded lock on her cage to keep her inside day and night to avoid suspicion from the neighbours. Naturally, this does not go well for the bird. Every time she gets bored, her screech rings throughout the house, causing an irritated Vernon to warn Harry that if he cannot control her, she will have to go.
The thing on his bed, a house elf named Dobby who was behind the mysterious eyes Harry saw, tells Harry that he must not go back to Hogwarts, as it will be dangerous because terrible things are going to happen there. The elf, however, can't tell him what things, and continues to be vague because every time he gets close to letting something slip he starts hurting himself. In the process, he makes a lot of noise, which is noticed by the group downstairs. When he hears Uncle Vernon coming upstairs (claiming that Dudley must have left the TV upstairs on), Harry hides the elf in his closet right before Vernon comes in and scolds his nephew for making such a racket which has messed up the punchline of his "Japanese golfer joke". He lets Dobby out as soon as his uncle leaves, and insists that he has to go back to Hogwarts since that's where he has friends despite them not writing to him. But to his surprise, Dobby then reveals that he has stopped letters being sent to Harry, and offers them to him if Harry will stay away from Hogwarts. Harry refuses and, making a frustrated Dobby run downstairs and use a Hover Charm to smash the dinner party's pudding.
Within the first day, though, Amari finds out that she is unusual and special even within the Supernatural world. For one thing, it turns out that Quinton and his partner Maria Van Helsing were famous supernatural agents who called themselves VanQuish and who captured Moreau, one of the infamous Night Brothers. But besides that, Amari is awarded a Moonstone Badge, a highly unusual honor that recognizes her intrinsic potential. And she has a supernatural ability that she never would have guessed: Amari is a magician. Unfortunately, magicians are illegal and distrusted in the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs. (Magical items are allowed and widely used, but for a person to have their own magical powers is considered dangerous and evil)

One of the primary objectives of the Time-Space Administration Bureau in the Lyrical Nanoha franchise has always been securing the Lost Logia, magical artifacts created by ancient civilizations like Belka and Al-Hazard. The reason for this is that Lost Logia are extremely dangerous to unsuspecting civilians and even more so in criminal hands, although some minds within TSAB have also tried to weaponize Lost Logia themselves.
The Society from Dragon Crisis! collects artifacts called "Lost Preciouses". The more powerful/dangerous ones are usually locked away in vaults, while individual members of the Society have their own private collections. Eriko also started up her own Lost Precious collection agency called Seven Tails that specializes in acquiring and recovering Lost Preciouses.

Edict One of Edict Zero Fis lapses into this territory due to their need to collect the Paradox Artifacts. The Moebius Foundation in the Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty single-player campaign. Their mission is to collect a set of Xel'Naga artifacts, and they hire Raynor's Raiders to do the legwork. However, the Moebius Foundation is really a front organization set up by the emperor's son, Valerian Mengsk. Which is itself a front for the fact that it's really under control of Arcturus and is being used to produce Hybrids, which is also a front for a couple of Eldritch Abominations and their plan to destroy the universe.

World of Warcraft's two main factions as well as the Pandaren have one each: the Explorer's League is a mostly Dwarven organization dedicated to collecting and displaying Titan relics while the Reliquary is a Blood Elven group who seeks to make practical use of these same relics with less regard for their purely historical worth. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim mentions the Cynod, an order of mages from Cyrodiil. NPC dialogue and in the lorebooks suggests they might be doing it in preparation for the next war. There are several NPCs in the game (such as General Tullius, just to pick one) who mention point-of-fact bluntly that another "Great War" between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Empire is expected by both sides. And, both sides are doing what they can to strengthen themselves and weaken the other side in preparation for it. Thus, the Synod's actions in trying to gather powerful magic artifacts play right into the notion of the Empire trying to prepare themselves for this war. For example, Ajeel Raml's troops are draped in Arabic attire with scimitars, Wall Eehto's troops are cloaked in black wizard-like robes with staffs, Brandish μ's troops are fully armored with spears that have Lacrima at the tips. and lastly the Northern and Southern forces, commanded by Bloodman and Dimaria Yesta, squadrons appear to have leather clothing with skull shaped masks and fully-armored knightly attire possessing blades and spears alike respectively. In the Emperor's personal army, the soldiers have dark armor with magical staffs that can cause things to burst upon impact and even fire magical bullets. Some of Spriggan 12 have control of their own squads and as such possess their own elite Mages in the form of captains and soldiers that are willingly able to combat in difficult fights. The number of those Mages are various and are not set numbers. 041b061a72
